A creative blackout. One hundred percent human. Viewable only in person because that is entirely the point.
With machines scraping every image ever posted, a new kind of room had to exist one the algorithm cannot enter.
Blackout is that room. You don't know what you're going to see. The only way to experience it is to stand in front of it.
Artists have given their work freely to humanity for as long as art has existed. This ends now. A revolt. Artists taking back control.
We didn't want it to come to this. But it has so that we can keep creating freely, and sustain the act of creation itself.
Work may not have appeared online or publicly in any capacity. If a photo of it exists on the internet, we don't want it.
No cameras, no phones, no devices inside. What you see, you carry out in memory alone.
Every work is made by a person, for people. No generated images. No machine in the loop.
There is no catalogue, no stream, no preview. The exhibition exists only where you are standing.
Give your unseen work a room the machines can't reach. Submissions open now.
